What influences your values about issues relating to your life?
Some values that are relating to my life will include ‘The way of Life’ so how people live, interest rates, strikes and so on. These affect my life because they all include “Money”. People always talk about how they have money, we’ll if the price of living is raised that affect not only myself but people who are around me.
Do you ever compare images/values presented by the media to those of the bible? If so why? If not why?
No, because this has never accrued to me. I only watch what is in the news and just sit there and think is that going to affect me?
Has this project challenged you to examine your values? Why / Why not
Not yet, because I still am not examining my values and comparing those to others in the news.
How do you feel the media portrays social justice issues?
The media portrays social justice pretty well because they are doing the best job they can to bring things that may concern people. This is a good thing because people want to know what is going on in the world.
Has it been difficult to find articles on social justice issues why/why not?
No, because Social Justice is a big issue and there are HEAPS of articles that relate to my topic.
Do you think that the media operates from a moral framework? Give evidence by using your research.
No the media does not work from a moral framework because they are there to tell the news and not about things that happen to certain “religions”. The news cannot write a report about one religion because then they would be hated because the other religions may be offended by this. The media only does the main stories so that means they have to make3 sure that everyone could be affected by that certain topic.
A critique involves identifying critical things to say about an article and resisting the temptation to describe rather than analyze. Let’s look at the difference.
Description is just stating facts – though each person will have a different idea of what facts are the most important ones. Description is a lot easier than analysis, which is breaking things up into themes and putting them together.
Introduction, summary, analysis and evaluation
Yes a critique can be positive because it is your own opinion about what you are talking about for example if you like someone’s painting you would say good things in the; summary, analysis and evaluation. But critique can be bad because you are also criticising.
The accuracy in the first news was very bad because they are saying “Oo, I know that the Olympics is a trap because they are digging holes” this is misleading because it is saying they are planning something and because they are not getting both sides of the story.
The accuracy seems to be correct because there is a website that shows “Donkey Ball” and because there is actually a team that they have mentioned. So the conclusion that i would say is that the news report was correct.

List TWO problems that could occur from students selecting their own groups.
2 Problems that could have occurred when people were choosing groups are:
- A person might have been left out or that someone was chosen twice.
- A person might be chosen to be in a group of people he doesn’t want to work with, or people he has worked with before.
Which type of student do you think would be selected first?
People that are known to be distracted easily, these include people that can’t be trusted with important assignments or people that are known not to do homework.
What beneficial characteristics can you offer to your group?
I offer my group good leadership, an understanding of the task and also an opinion on how to do things that may or may not help the group.
List THREE things you personally would like to improve on during this project.
My Photoshop skills, relationships and my grades at this point in time.
Journal entry 2.
How many rubrics are there for this project?
There are currently 3 rubrics ranging from group rubrics to individual rubrics.
Describe the purpose of the rubric?
The purpose of rubrics is to show what groups need to have done before the final task is due, this means that they have a chance to see what they need to complete in the future. This would help more if it were simpler. The rubrics are also used as a guide for groups for example; a group may print out the rubric to use as a guide to see what they need in their project folder.
How can you use the rubric to get the best possible mark?
By using the rubric to see what you need to have in the folder before the due date, these may include: journal entries, agenda and many more things that might show a little bit of skill work or time and effort.
Journal entry 3.
What words and or images come to mind when you hear the word Jesus.
Some images that come to my mind when the word ‘Jesus’ is used are: The cross, Passion of the Christ, Bible, Heaven and Religion.
Why might it be important for young people to identify with an image of Jesus?
Because if younger people don’t have an understanding image of Jesus then they will not grow in a proper mind of whom he is and what he has done. People that learn who he is at a young age tend to grasp on the thought of who he is because then they will have a leader to follow.
In my life I mostly associate with the images of Jesus at home, Church or at school because they are the places where I can most likely believe he might be watching over me, meaning that he can be there when I have a bad day because most of my days I am at school (sometimes even going through a hard time)and I need someone there to help me through it.

1) What form of medium (music, art or literature) allows you to best connect with Jesus and why?
Soft classical music with a violin solo, the ones played at war. It just a soothing piece of music that helps me concentrates on the things that are more important in life.
4) What artistic time period do you think best represents your image of Jesus and why?
The best art period that represents Jesus is either renaissance or baroque because they both are about religion.
5) Identify one image of Jesus that appeals to you. What do you like about the representation?
This picture represents Jesus a friend; this is a picture of him welcoming everyone into his arms, and into his house. This just means that Jesus is very friendly and someone that everyone could appreciate.

6) What factors currently shape your image of Jesus and why.
School, family, church, television and also friends have shaped my image of Jesus because they all say what they think, but I have my thoughts about him. People around say what they say about him, which then makes me change my thoughts.
